The 3rd and 4th forms (participles) of many verbs (regular and irregular) can be used as adjectives with a passive or active sense. Sometimes it is difficult to know if a word is an adjective or a participle but again, that's not important. e.g. interest > interested/ interesting - It interests me, I am interested by/ in it, It is interesting boil > boiled/ boiling - The water is boiled/ boiling What do you give a baby: boiled water or boiling water?
